Signs For Water Heater Replacement
Not sure if it’s time to replace your water heater? Here are some of the most common signs homeowners notice before a system fails:
Rust-colored or discolored water – Rust in your hot water can indicate deterioration inside the tank.
Visible leaks or pooling water – Any moisture around the tank is a warning sign of internal corrosion or a failing tank.
Sediment Build-up or mineral deposits – Mineral deposits from “hard water” settle at the bottom of the water heater, creating a barrier that reduces efficiency and leads to overheating and component failure. These mineral deposits can sometimes be seen pouring out of faucets.
Old age – Most water heaters last about 8–12 years. If yours is within or past this range, replacement may be the safest option.
Inconsistent or insufficient hot water – If your water runs hot and cold or you’re running out faster than usual, your unit may be losing efficiency.
If you’re experiencing any of these issues, our team can inspect your system and recommend the best solution for your home and budget.
